Among other big events, we developed two new programs, NEWCHAMP and LEAF, which enabled us to welcome even more students to our GATE family. We know that 2012 will be filled with even more excitement and learning than last year and we cannot wait to share the journey with you. |
| You're Invited to the High Achievers Colloquium! |
High Achievers is a summer program for students in grades 9-12 that enables students to work with renown MSU professors in classes with no more than 20 high school students. In four weeks students will not only earn honors-level college credit for their transcript, but also experience university level academics.

The annual High Achievers Colloquium is an informational session that provides details about participating in High Achievers. The colloquium gives students and parents an opportunity to hear more about the courses directly from professors as well as from former High Achievers students. Students and parents will have an opportunity to ask questions.
Classes offered in Summer 2012 will be: Introduction to Microeconomics (EC 201H), Biotechnology (CSS 491H), Questions, Issues and Debates in Global Studies: Exploring Africa through the Arts and Humanities (GSAH 200H), Myth, Self, and Religion (REL 205H), and Introduction to Philosophy (PHL 200H).
